Our headteacher and all our staff are committed to offering a range of extended day solutions to provide flexible and affordable support to you as a busy parent as well as making sure that there are additional enrichment opportunities for your child.

‘Your local first class school - all day, every day’
We understand that many parents and carers work full-time and with little childcare support. With that in mind, we aim to provide you with a full day of wrap-around care consisting of both childcare and education in a safe and welcoming environment for your child.
If your work and lifestyle allows it, your child can come to St Andrew’s from 8:55am and leave at 3:30pm.
But if you need your child to be looked after for a longer day, we have your back.
School day from 7.30am to 6pm, every day, Monday to Friday, with Breakfast Club and After School Clubs
Not only will your child receive the best day’s education possible but we will also be there for them from breakfast to the end of your working day.
And it won’t all be books and learning (although there’s just the right amount of that), but there’s also clubs and both structured and unstructured play and creative activities as well as time to relax and have quiet moments.
The extended school day in Lambeth
Lambeth Council was instrumental in the Department of Education initiative to introduce extended education hours in primary schools.
Here at St Andrew’s we have embraced the need for extended childcare in Lambeth and provide one of the longest school days with the greatest level of support and the widest range of activities.
We aim to provide a range of services for all our pupils and their families. For children we offer childcare before and after school, a range of sports, arts and specialist interest activities.
Your child can start the school day at 7:30 am with our Breakfast Club (that all our pupils and parents seem to love) and they can stay at school after the formal school day ends at 3:30pm right up until 6:00pm with our after school club.
The extended school day at St Andrews is as follows:
- Breakfast club : 7:30 – 9am
- School Registration : 8:55am
- School Finishes : 3:30pm
- After School Activities : 3:30pm – 4:30pm
- Snack for ‘Cabin Club’ pupils : 4:30pm
- After School 'Cabin Club' : 4:30pm – 6:00pm
You might not need an early start or late pick up every day, but it’s great to know that whenever you need it, and when life just gets in your way, you can trust your child’s school to be there to look after your child and keep them entertained and safe.
Take it from us, they might not even miss you and won’t be ready to leave when you do arrive to pick them up!
